Yes, you got it right. I’ve already enrolled to Taylor’s, got my letter of acceptance and moving in by end of July. My intake would commence approximately by then. Ah, it’s kinda cool, really in a whole new and different environment. Well, being a sixth former, one can hardly experience how’d it be like to be in those private type of college/university. Are the students there real snobs? A mystery to be unveiled soon. There have been plenty of stereotyping going on involving Taylor’s actually.
Misconception #1: Taylor’s students are rich. People perceived it to be this way mainly there are few good sporty cars, lavish spending students, branded looking brands, expensive f&b outlets around its campus. Truth is, most of them fail to see the other side of it. I bet there are more local cars versus the imported cars. Taylor’s have been around for how many years? 42 years with prestige and wanting to provide better facilities and services. Of course, none of these comes free. After all, there’s no free lunch in this world (well, at least in mine). Haha. Speaking like a Taylorian, eh? =P
Starbucks, an f&b outlet at Taylor's Boardwalk. Other outlets including Subway, Baskin Robbins, Old Town, Wong Kok, Famous Amos, Bread Story and many others
I’ve only managed to pay a visit to my campus once and I must admit I was really impressed by its surroundings, f&b outlets, facilities, etc. (truth is, I WAS already impressed prior visiting actually!). I still recall showing to my friends (their potential students) of how awesome the campus was, persuading them to enter. At that time, I was still considering over a few universities.
All’s not really well yet cause there are problems remains unsolved as of now i.e. finding an apartment for rent. Have I mentioned that their hostels are really costly? (no wonder the misconception arise!). I’ll be going down to KL once again around later this month to confirm all the details. Been going to KL for 3 times this year now, twice with friends, the other with my mom. We’ve been terrorizing all those malls due to their Grand Prix sales. So basically, that’s all. Yeah, I promise I will update REALLY soon. HAHA! Till then.
