Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Eric Ong, 18 and lives in the beautiful island of Penang, Malaysia. I’ve just completed my SPM (O’ levels in equivalent) and is still deciding on my next course of option, on whether to continue my sixth form in my former school, St. Xavier’s Institution, being among the oldest schools in Malaysia. I’m of course a Malaysian in nationality, and a Hokkien (Min Nan) Chinese in ethnicity. Yes, my ancestors derived from the Fujian Province. 

Blogging often becomes one of my priority ever since I started it back then in early 2006. In case you have been wondering why my WordPress archives happens to have dated since June 2007, its due to the reason that I started my blog using Blogger. I have somehow evolved in my style of writing early this year. I tend to write mature works, being more responsible in my choice of words. Ever since the 12th Malaysian General Elections, I have found myself interested into politics and since then I have started ventured to some political articles, of course its more of a matter of my own personal opinion. No conflict of interest intended though.

Among my notable works in this blog includes food and movie reviews and some Penang-related articles which received quite a number of hits generated from Google and some other search engines.  Apart from blogging, I involve myself into certain social activities including the abolishment of Internal Security Act by participating in candlelight vigils whenever possible. By the way, I happen to be practising the Chinese folk religion of which incorporated the teachings and virtues of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucius values. That particular religion is among the majority religion practised by Penangites. So much for an introduction, haha.
